Amazfit Bip 5 vs Xiaomi Smart Band 9

Built around an expansive 1.91-inch curved touchscreen, a 26-gram polycarbonate shell, built-in 4-satellite GPS, and Bluetooth microphone/speaker calling, the Amazfit Bip 5 prioritizes big-text readability and 10-day battery life for under $89. While the newer Amazfit Active 2 upgrades to a 2,000-nit AMOLED panel for $10 more, the Bip 5 appeals to shoppers who want the largest possible rectangular screen on a shoestring budget.

At just $49, the Xiaomi Smart Band 9 is the pound-for-pound champion of ultra-budget fitness trackers, upgrading to a sandblasted aluminum alloy frame, a 1,200-nit 60Hz AMOLED pill screen, a linear vibration motor, and a 21-day battery life. An upgraded dual-LED PPG module improves heart-rate accuracy by 16% over the Band 8, making it an unbeatable impulse buy for sleep and step tracking.
